The story
It all started in Cleveland, Texas. The parents of one of my art students had seen the murals I’d painted around town, and when they heard I was hosting an art workshop, they signed their child up and came to meet me in person. Not long after, they asked me to paint two murals at their Airbnb in Salisano, Italy, on an all-inclusive trip! Once the details were settled and the designs approved, we set the date for February 2026, and I got it done.
Greetings from Salisano is painted as a giant vintage postcard. Each letter of the town’s name opens onto rolling green hills and olive branches, while the scene below brings together the things Salisano is known for: olive oil, a hilltop village of terracotta roofs, and its twin-towered church, all finished with a postage stamp and an “Italia” postmark.
The second mural is painted down inside the speakeasy lounge of the airbnb
